Today I had to leave early for Almagro and I decided to change my route to do something different. And almost arriving at my destination I passed by a site that when I knew it in the 2000's was abandoned, the railroad site. When I was 10 years old I remember that with a new government many public spaces that were abandoned or in disuse were restored to be put into use by the people and it was called the station park, where many spaces were generated with games for children of all ages and many tables and spaces for the older ones to sit down and bring mate or something to drink something else and also bring something to eat and spend the afternoon because there is really a lot of space and games for children.

Today I stopped to take pictures because it was not the same place I saw when I saw it all newly inaugurated, nice and well cared for. I don't know what happened or why but now it has been transformed into a space where they are going to do graffiti of all kinds on the building that was restored and had been left really nice and picturesque, and now it has been transformed into a place that houses many people who are homeless and who may not have jobs and have to ask for food or look for food in a soup kitchen. I really found it very ugly that people have to find themselves in that situation, which I know already exists, but to see it in first person or to pay attention to it and not deny it, is something strong and impossible not to generate empathy. I asked one of the people who was awake if I could take some pictures to tell about this place and for those who are Argentines and see this space if they want to share with me so I can go and collaborate with them.

I asked him why they were there and he told me that it is an area where they are quiet at night, there are not many people bothering them and they can sleep quite peacefully. As it is a place that people don't pass through then they can throw a mattress and the place is never dirty, they take care of it within their possibilities as much as they can so there are no weird smells and how people know them some or bring them some clothes and they also share some meals with them although some of them try to make their money the way they can.

Something that the woman I talked to also told me is that all the people who sleep there are people who have no drug problems, that is why the place is so clean and tidy, that since the first people arrived there they tried to keep that as a rule of the space they are occupying to live, So they do not allow any person with any kind of addictions to stay there so as not to generate problems and so that it can be a place where they can live as decently as possible and not bother the people who take their children to the plaza in the afternoons and thus take care of their place so that the police will not throw them out of there.

El día de hoy tuve que irme temprano para el lado de Almagro y decidí cambiar de camino para hacer algo distinto. Y casi llegando a destino pase por un predio que cuando lo conocí en los 2000 estaba abandonado, predio del ferrocarril. A los 10 años recuerdo que con un nuevo gobierno muchos espacios públicos que estaban abandonados o en desuso y fueron o restaurados para ser puestos en uso de la gente y se llamó parque de la estación, en donde se generaron muchos espacios con juegos para chicos de todas las edades y muchas mesas y espacios para que los más grandes se sienten puedan llevar mate o algo para tomar alguna otra cosa y también llevar algo para comer y pasar la tarde porque realmente hay mucho espacio y juegos para chicos.

Hoy me detuve a sacar fotos porque no era el mismo lugar que vi todo recién inaugurado lindo y cuidado. No se que paso ni porque pero ahora se transformó en un espacio en donde vana hacer grafitis de todo tipo sobre el edificio que estaba restaurado y habían dejado realmente muy lindo y pintoresco, y ahora se transformó en el lugar de que hospeda a muchas personas que están en situación de calle quienes posiblemente no tengan trabajo y tengan que pedir o buscar comida en algún comedor. Realmente me pareció muy feo que la gente tenga que encontrarse en esa situación, cosa que ya sé que existe pero verlo en primera persona o poner atención en ello y no negarlo, es algo fuerte e imposible de no generar empatía. Le pregunté a una de las personas que estaba despierta si podía sacar algunas fotos para contar de este lugar y para quienes sean Argentinos y vean este espacio si quieren compartir conmigo para poder ir y colaborar con ellos. Le pregunté porqué estaban ahí y me contó que es una zona en donde están tranquilos a la noche, no hay mucha gente molestando y dentro de todo pueden dormir bastante tranquilos. Como es un lugar que la gente no transita entonces pueden tirar un colchón y el lugar nunca está sucio, ellos lo cuidan dentro de sus posibilidades lo más que pueden entonces no hay olores raros y cómo la gente los conoce algunos o les llevan algo de ropa y también les comparten algunas comidas aunque algunos de ellos tratan de hacer su dinero de la forma que pueden. Algo que también me contó la mujer con la que converse es que todos los que duermen ahí son personas que ninguno tiene problemas de droga por eso es así de limpio el lugar y está ordenado, que desde que llegaron ahí los primeros trataron de conservar eso como una regla del espacio que están ocupando para vivir, entonces no dejan que ninguna persona que tenga adicciones de ningún tipo se quiera quedar ahí para no generar problemas y que pueda ser un lugar en donde ellos puedan vivir lo más decentemente posible y no molestar tampoco a las personas que llevan a sus hijos a la plaza por las tardes y así cuidar su lugar y que la policía no los vaya a echar de allí.
