Remembering Stockton to Malone

I’m down in Salt Lake the next two days. I had to park quite a ways away from the convention center today. On my walk to the convention center I had to walk past the Delta center. Out front the two statues of the greatest jazz players who ever played on Utah. John Stockton and Karl Malone.

Growing up these were our heroes. Me and my brother would always play out scenarios in our grandmas basketball court outside. He would usually be John Stockton and I would usually be Karl Malone.

we would usually pretend that we were playing the bulls and we make up scenarios like 15 seconds left Stockton into Malone and then we play it out and try and score against my dad and a cousin or something like that.

now I know when they played in real life they lost. It’s hard to beat the greatest of all time, though with Michael Jordan on their team.

Love these statues though. Brought back good memories.

I used to trade away my Jordan cards for these 2 players. Bad financial decision for me as a little kid. lol.
